Founded in 2003, Arista Group started its business as a Honda authorized car dealer in Jakarta. It soon gained recognition and endorsement from Yamaha motorcycles in the same year and expanded to Depok and West Java. Since then, the company’s business portfolio has been growing at a rocket speed. It has revved up premium services (sales, rental, and auction) and partnerships with world-class automotive brands, such as Honda, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Hino, Wuling, Mercedes Benz, Ford, and Yamaha motorcycles.
Today, Arista is known as one of the top automotive dealerships in Indonesia with over 100 branches across the country. The company accredits a majority of its success to quality customer care, and more recently to its operational upgrade with Odoo.
Coping With An Old
System
Before implementing
Odoo, Arista Group was a long-term user of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009. The company gave up
the software after discovering the multi-functional capabilities of Odoo through Falinwa
Indonesia (Odoo Gold partner). It recalled the former ERP as an old and traditional system,
after trying to adapt to its rigid user interface and customizations. Through a demo trial,
the company’s director found that Odoo allows flexible software developments and is faster
and more reliable (than the previous ERP) in monitoring overall operations.
Falinwa Indonesia has been very supportive and responsive in providing solutions and alternatives to each of our requests. They were also able to cover developments beyond what we had in Microsoft dynamic AX.

Each year, Arista’s employees actively connect with hundreds of thousands of prospects across 16 provinces in Indonesia. Therefore, Odoo's CRM (Customer Relations Management) app has been crucial in maintaining customer satisfaction. The app helps the business at every step of the sales cycle to ensure in-depth monitoring and nurturing of leads.
During the rise of the
COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainties in the market, Arista’s sales teams faced new challenges
in customer acquisition. To tackle this, Arista leveraged its existing customer base to gain
quality prospects with data tracking and optimization features in Odoo’s Sales app. It now
uses the app’s real-time performance analysis to identify inconsistencies and optimize
operations. This new workflow reduces manual work and saves a significant amount of time and
costs. Most importantly, managing customers has never been simpler!

As
an enterprise with over 100 branches, Arista’s revenue highly depends on accurate and timely
invoicing and accounting reconciliation. The company’s experience with Odoo has only been
improving as processes are even faster and more fluid upon each new software update. Before
Odoo, Arista used Microsoft FRx for financial reporting and analysis. Generating a single
financial report for 1 company (50 branches) would take 1 hour. And as they needed to
process 10 companies' reports, it would take a whole day’s time.
Arista’s accountant now finds ease in workload with advanced features, such as automated journal balancing, intuitive reporting, and local bank synchronization. Following this, the app's feasibility boosts the company's confidence in financial management like never before!
